A transport technology brand, Bloomrydes has unveiled a ride-sharing app with flexibility and alternate income generation for certified car owners and cost effective fares for riders/passengers.
Speaking at the unveiling of the Bloomrydes Sharing App in Abuja yesterday, the founder of the company, Jasper Ogbonna said the aim of the app is to improve the lives of millions of of commuters across the country who plies the road on a daily basis for various socio-economic interactions.
According to him, the launch became necessary after painstaking research that evaluated the road transport sector in Nigeria, particularly Inter-state and intra-city travels. “The findings from this study are obvious-from inadequate public transportation systems, to road congestion from substandard vehicles used by individuals and businesses to offer transport services, leading to Air Pollution/Carbon Emission with resultant health hazards for commuters.”
He added that the app will give drivers already going on a trip the platform to add passengers going the same route to his/her ride while he keeps 100 percent of the income.
“The company’s goal is to promote the human angle of travelling as a social enterprise, thereby connecting commuters to commercial and networking opportunities that will boost their businesses and increase their earning power while on the go, powered by the ‘Same Route Phenomena.”
Ogbonna further said of the platform for regular interstate or intra-city transport services will give Nigerians access to safe, comfortable and convenient ride-sharing experiences in cars that are inspected and certified roadworthy, fully air-conditioned and hazard-free, thereby improving the health and well-being of all riders as they go about their commercial/social pursuit.
