The youth wing of the Igbo apex socio-cultural organisation, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has disassociated itself from the N50bn lawsuit filed against President Muhammadu Buhari by eminent Southern and Middle-belt leaders.
The Igbo youth organisation said that it took the position against the law suit having observed with dismay that major critical leaders in the South-East geo-political zone were not consulted before such action was taken.
The group commended those who filed the suit against the president, noting that it was geared towards ensuring justice and sustenance of principle of federal character.
The group noted that it acted on the orders of Igbo elders, traditional and religious leaders and among others.
The decision of the group was contained in a statement signed by the president-general of the group, Mazi Okechukwu Isigusoro and the secretary-general, Okwu Nnabuike.
It would be recalled that eminent socio-cultural leaders from southern and middle-belt Nigeria had on Monday, sued President Mohammadu Buhari for N50bn over lopsided appointments in security, para-security agencies and strategic agencies of government.
