The Excellent Women International has cited diligence, doggedness and unrelenting effort towards improving the lives of women in Nigeria as the reason the minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Dame Pauline Tallen was included among the list of Nigeria Quintessential women’s roll call of fame.
The national president of Excellent Women International, Dr. Christabel Regan Okoye, who disclosed this during a press briefing in Abuja.
She noted that Tallen was recognized along 14 other women who have contributed to women empowerment, and also distinguished themselves in the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
Dr. Okoye said that, “Dame Tallen’s achievements over the years are enormous and characterized by selfless service, dedication and determination to impact positively on women across the country.
“The Excellent Women International as a Non-Governmental Organization, has been working in partnership with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development since 2006.
“We have partnered and successfully carried out laudable programmes for Nigerian women. This year would mark the 17 year of our organization,” she said.
She appreciated the minister for her contributions in the lives of women. Also call on other political career women to follows the footprint of the minister.
Dr Okoye further noted that singlehandedly, the NGO built a home ‘Centre’ in Anambra and Abuja for drugs addicted victims women and ex-convict were their are restate to the society.
