The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested 27 suspects for alleged
armed robbery, kidnapping and rape within the last two weeks.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Bola Longe, while parading
the suspects yesterday in Lafia, said among them was leader of a
kidnap gang that abducted the state Chairman of Christian Association
of Nigeria, Bishop Joseph Masin, and a Deputy High Court Registrar
Longe said 21 of the suspects were arrested for armed robbery while
six were for kidnapping.
Meanwhile, one person was feared killed K after a robbery incident at
the Stadium Hotel, off Taiwo road in Ilorin, Kwara state.
According to an eyewitness the armed robbers numbering about five
stormed the hotel’s premises at about 8:40pm Sunday night, shooting
sporadically into the air to scare residents away from the scene of

out after the robbery, we met the lifeless body of a middle aged man.
The hotel manager was also met in a pool of blood.
The manager was immediately rushed to the Ilorin General Hospital for
treatment,” the eyewitness disclosed.
