The Secretary to Kebbi State government, Alhaji Babale Umar, has said that the State Governor, Atiku Bagudu has created favourable atmosphere for investors to invest in be state.
Umar, who divulged that the state through cooperation with NNPC has established an ethanol industry in the Zuru area, added that the industry has the capacity of generating no less than N376 billion for the state annually and employ over 3,000 from the state as well.
“The coming of the administration of Governor, Atiku Bagudu has led to the establishment of many industries because of the good administrative atmosphere laced with favourable policies that has made it possible for people to come and invest in the state.
“Few examples include, the Waccot Rice Mill, Lolo Rice Mill, Dangote is also building another one in Saminaka and we are currently also trying to, through the cooperation of the NNPC establish an ethanol industry in the Zuru area of which our target is to create a revenue of around 376 billion naira and we have started with the farms were over 3000 people are already in that plantation.”
Babale who also added thatGB foods have so established another industry at the Waura, Gafara area of the state assured that the agricultural revolution in Kebbi has boost the economy of the citizenry.
Giving other areas that the state government deserves pass mark too, Babale said, they have done well in ensuring peace across the state.
“And in areas of tourism, we have resuscitated Argungu Fishing Festival, which was not celebrated for the last 10 years. We also resuscitated Rigatta Festival which was also not celebrated for the past 15 years too.
