Pankeeroy, one of Nigeria’s most exciting online comedian presently making waves has expressed his desires for bigger glories on the global stage.
Speaking on his dream, the online comedy sensation, whose real name is Nwagbo Chidera Oliver, said, “I’m looking forward to exporting my talent to the outside world. It is my hope that my talent will pave way for me to Hollywood where I can finally sit on the same bench with other global online comedians and create amazing contents with them.”
Continuing, Pankee, as he is better known to his teeming fans, declared his unalloyed love and devotion to the art and craft of comedy.
“I love what I am doing and I won’t mind doing it again if I have another life to live,” he avowed.
Prompted further, he said: “However, if I were to be something else, I think I will prefer to be a businessman. I have always loved doing business.”
The versatile entertainer who has also proved his mettle as an actor and a dancer, also declared that “fame doesn’t last forever.”
He said, “Anyone who has fame should use it wisely while it lasts.”
In the same breadth, he disclosed that “dying at a young age is my biggest fear.”
His advice to those in the creative business bordered on the importance of consistency. “Don’t ever be complacent,” said Pankeeroy. “Whenever you’ve got an idea always try to shoot it and get it done because that same idea may be on another creator’s to-do list.”
For many who have wondered how he came about his screen name, Nwagbo offered clarifications. “Pankeeroy is a special name. I got it from pancakes. While I was still in college, I loved eating pancakes,” he said.
He added: “Roy, on the other hand was derived from my other name, Oliver.”
