This is really a pleasant time for chief executive officer (CEO) of Monimichelle, Ebi Egbe, as he was bestowed with double honors.

The honours are coming from the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the Yenebebeli Community of Atissa Kingdom in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa State.

In separate letters to Egbe, the two groups intimidated the stadium construction expert and FIFA licensed match agent of their decision to honor him.

NUJ in their letter stated that they are bestowing Egbe with the honor of Best Sports Development Partner of the year in recognition of his contribution to sports development in the country and Bayelsa State in particular.

The award would be bestowed on Egbe on August 26, 2023 during the NUJ press week in Yenagoa.

The Yenebebeli community on their part stated that they are conferring a Chieftaincy title on Egbe for his immense contribution to the growth and development of their community.

The community’s letter to Egbe which was signed by His Royal Highness Alfred Ovuoh stated in part…”The council of chiefs has decided that a chieftaincy title be conferred on you for your achievements and selfless contributions to the growth and development of our community and nation. We appreciate your friendship and kind disposition to our community. By this singular honor of conferment, you are now our Otototo-Eken.”

The chieftaincy title would be bestowed on Egbe the same day the community would throw a reception party and thanksgiving for their son Prof Steve Azaiki who has served out his tenure at the National Assembly.

Egbe while reacting to the honors said it is simply the Lord’s Doing.
