Arsenal cruised to an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester United in Sunday’s Premier League crunch clash at the Emirates Stadium. A goal each from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang handed the Gunners maximum points with Alexandre Lacazette having a hand in both goals. SunSport however reports that the Frenchman was accused of diving by the Red Devils fans after winning the penalty after slight body contact with Fred.
The moment Lacazette fell to the ground, referee Jon Moss pointed straight to the spot mid-way through the second half.
Referencing the episode, Spurs fan Haaris said: “These man complain about Kane diving yet Aubameyang and Lacazette dive in consecutive games to win a penalty.” User The Man Utd Way summed up the frustrations of the visiting fans by stating: “A clear dive from Lacazette. Have to say, on second look that is straight up embarrassing.”
Goals from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were all the Gunners needed to cruise to victory after regulation period. The victory ensured the north Londoners overtake the Red Devils at the fourth position with two points better than the visitors.
