The national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly, Dr Ali Ahmad, have commiserated with the people of Offa and Kwara State government over the demise of the foremost industrialist, Chief Emmanuel Adesoye.
The APC in a statement by its national publicity secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdhullahi, also condoled with the people of Omu-Aran, in Irepodun local government area of the state and the state government over the death of Olomu-of OmuAran, Oba Charles Ibitoye.
Abdullahi said that, ‘the death of the monarch, who was an exemplary leader of no mean repute came like rude shock to us as a party at a time like this when his presence was mostly needed.
“We have it on record that Oba Ibitoye’s reign in Omu- Aran brought unprecedented developments to the ancient town with classical coordination of sons and daughters of Omuaran in diaspora.
“The love, and peace that also traversed the town of Omuaran during his reign was also well known and appreciated by all and sundry”.
He added, “It is our opinion that Oba Charles Oladeles Ibitoye’s reign stood tall among others in the historical record of the town with unassuming respect, humility and love with which he rallied everyone together for the progress of Omu-Aran.
“Equally important is the contribution of the late monarch to the peace, progress and development of the traditional council in the state.
“We urge the people of Omu-Aran to therefore immortalise the late monarch my sustaining and even improving on the legacies he left behind.”
The party also sympathised with the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufuatu Gbadamosi Esuwoye 1, over the death of the Asiwaju of Offa, Chief Emmanuel Adesoye.
The party said that, the death of Chief Adesoye who is one of the foremost industrialist in the country as a great loss to the people of Offa, Kwara State and the Nigeria in general.
Abdullahi described the late industrialist as epitome of knowledge who had used his intellect to add values to the economic and industrial growth of the country.
In his condolence message, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr Ali Ahmad, described the death of the Asiwaju of Offa, Chief Emmanuel Adesoye as a colossal loss to the people of the state.
Ahmad, in a statement by his chief press secretary, Abdul Rahman Sanni, noted that Adesoye had contributed significantly towards the socio- economic transformation of not only, Offa, Kwara State, in particular, but the northern Nigeria as a whole, through his entrepreneurial skills.
The Speaker, while describing Adesoye as a “great patriot, industrialist and humanitarian per excellence, said the Asiwaju of Offa’s giant stride, in education, industrialising Offa, Kwara State and the northern Nigeria, would remain indelible in the annals of history of Nigeria.”
Ahmad, urged the deceased’s family, the Oloffa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Esuwoye ll, the entire people of Offa, government and people of Kwara State to take solace in the fact that the deceased had touched many lives, through his endowments.
