The youths noted that since coming to power in 2015, governor el-rufai had worked hard to move the State to the next level of socio-economic development.
“And as the future leaders, we intend to inherit a strong, virile, progressive and developed state, worthy of emulation by other states in Nigeria”, the youths said.
This was contained in a communiqué jointly issued and signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the youth Forum, Malam Aminu Lawal Anty and Mr Mark Mamman respectively after a meeting of the leaders where 2019 general election issues dominated.
The communiqué read in part, “Judging from the style of government and various achievements recorded so far despite serious challenges, we have unanimously resolved to endorse His Excellency, Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai for 2019 general elections.
“This resolution is in good faith based on deep sincere moral feelings for the good people of Kaduna State to continue to enjoy good governance.
“The various achievements of Governor Nasir el-Rufai’s government are vast because of its diverse nature. First, it has created spirit of patriotism, transparency and hard work in the running of government businesses, then to physical projects such as construction of standard healthcare facility in all the 255 wards in Kaduna State. Many of them are completed, while others are ongoing.
“Governor el-Rufai’s investment and economic drive policies have attracted many investors resulting to establishments of Olam farm, Vicampo potato farm.
“The State Government’s policies have also led to expansion of job opportunities for the youth with proper empowerment.
“Therefore, we are saying that the good work started by Governor el-Rufai needs to continue beyond 2019 in order to actualise the set down goals of the administration.
“To realise this objective, we, the youth leaders of APC in Kaduna State, wish to champion the cause by undertaking the tour of all the local governments and wards to sensitise the people on the need to support this administration to continue in office beyond 2019 so as to continue with the good works it started”.
