Business that is seen to be thriving must have designed ways of pleasing its customers even in the face of some economic realities. This is the secret of the success of Cashbox, an online banking company, whose Chief Executive Officer, Sydney Imuetinyan Aigbogun, has said that their philosophy of the company has always been placing high premium on clients’ satisfaction.
Cashbox, which came into existence in 2019, is an online saving platform, an app, which users can easily download on android and iOS, linked it to an ATM card with which a savings plan is created for a specific amount to be saved at a determined frequency. Cashbox is a secured savings platform that helps users save money seamlessly all from the comfort of their mobile phones, tablets or computers.
According to Sydney Imuetinyan
Aigbogun, a graduate of Finance from the University of Lagos, Cashbox as a company, has as its business philosophy, the importance of the customers, adding that at Cashbox, “we see our customers as Kings and we place high premium on their satisfaction.
“We have clients all over Nigeria. As long as you have a smart phone and internet, you can save with Cashbox from anywhere in Nigeria and be rest assured that your money is saved with us. Cashbox is an everyday and everybody app, as it is easily used by young people as well as the old”, said Sydney Imuetinyan

While speaking with reporters during a recent interview, Sydney Imuetinyan Aigbogun said that there is no business that does not have its own peculiar challenges, adding that “running a business is very hard especially in this part of the world, but with a great team, it makes the burden easier. I believe customer is King while the staff is Queen. With this thought, it makes life of an entrepreneur a lot easier for me.
“When we started this business, we were faced with the problem of funding. That’s one of the things that kills businesses. Bank aren’t helping, government isn’t doing enough, and for someone without a rich family, it’s a lot harder. That’s where ingenuity comes in, the never say die attitude, which we applied and today, we are thanking God for His support.
“People are often scared of online transaction, but a genuine business will survive the odds. I must confess, Nigerians were initially scared of Cashbox, especially our first six months in operation, but right now that’s no longer a worry for us. Our presence online is very visible and they see so many reviews from users saving with us, seeing these reviews gives new customers confidence in us.
“I can conveniently say that not only has the public embraced CashBox, but now see us as a reliable saving platform growing from strength to strength.
“Most of our challenges were in the first year and we handled that very well. Right now, we just want to keep doing everything we can to grow rapidly while making impact on our tens of thousands of users. We want to be a force to reckon with whenever financial services are mentioned”, said Sydney Aigbogun, who was born on October 4 in Benin City, Edo State.
Having survived the turbulent period associated with setting up fintech company in Nigeria because of paucity of funds, Edo State-born Aigbogun advised young entrepreneurs to be tough and like the never-say-die attitude of Nigerians, they should stay on top of their dreams to make it come to reality.
“The terrain will always be tough, but you have to be tougher. Problems will always come, but when you have made-up your mind never to give up, the problems really wouldn’t scare you,”added Sydney Aigbogun.
