Prince Adewole A. Lipede, a philanthropist and owner of Backhome Productions is set to launch the “BACK HOME PRODUCTION TRAINING WORKSHOP”. He said this project was scheduled to kick off in March 2020 but due to the covid 19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown worldwide, it had to be shelved.
He says through his production company he is ready to launch a series of production training workshops starting January 2021. He plans to set up a workshop centre in his native town of Abeokuta, Ogun state. Asked why Abeokuta, he said “charity begins at home, so why not start from his hometown.”
Prince Adewole said “it’s better to teach people to fish rather than give them fish to eat”, and so he alongside other production professionals will teach and train participants on the rudiments of commercial and TV production.
The workshop which will be for 4 weeks is aimed at guiding the participants through the basics and intricate details of commercial production.
He said details of how to apply will be made public after the formal launch later in the year. He said the top 5 trainees will be selected and sponsored on scholarship to study further.
