All Progressives Congress ward congresses elections were conducted peacefully in 225 wards of Kebbi State peacefully last Saturday.
Addressing party supporters on the affirmation of new wards’ leaders of Nassarawa 11, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu commended them for their cooperation and loyalty to the leadership of the party in the state.
He said, ‘’We are not in any way surprised APC in Kebbi now is intact, it remains one and indivisible therefore whoever wants to join should do so before it is too late.’’
Bagudu noted that under his watch APC would remain one in the state up to the time of his leaving office and even after.
He called on party supporters to continue supporting government policies and programmes so as to achieve its desired goals and aspirations.
Our correspondent who monitored the elections in Birnin Kebbi metropolis and other five local government areas under Gwandu emirate in the state learnt that almost all the candidates who contested as chairmen of the wards were unanimously affirmed due to the lack of rivalries.
Speaking to the acting chairman in the state, Alhaji Mohammed Kana Zuru, over the development, it was revealed that almost all the wards in all the 20 local government areas of the state the congresses was conducted in the manner of affirmations following the efforts of the party to reconciled emergence of two or more candidates.
