Bauchi State Government has urged emirs and traditional rulers in the state to support government efforts to sustain peace and unity among their people across the state.
The Secretary to the State Government, Aminu Hammayo said this while addressing journalists shortly after a closed-door meeting with the six first-class Emirs of the state at the Government House, Bauchi at the instance of the governor, Bala Mohammed.

He disclosed that the engagement was part of ongoing consultations with traditional leaders, especially in light of the recent creation of additional emirates in the state.
“The Governor emphasized the need for synergy between the government and the traditional institution to ensure smooth integration and effective governance.
“It was a fruitful discussion that reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to preserving the dignity and relevance of our royal fathers,” he said.

The meeting underscores the administration’s recognition of the traditional institution as a vital partner in governance and community engagement.
