Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oju and Obi local government areas of Benue State have zoned the office of the zonal chairman of APC in zone C to Oju LGA, and the office of the Assistant Legal Adviser to Obi LGA.
This was part of the resolutions of the stakeholders in their meeting held on the September 18, 2021 in Abuja.
Consequently, the stakeholders unanimously endorsed Ajoma Success Odeh as the consensus candidate for the office of the zonal chairman of zone C, and Moses Olima, as the candidate for the office of the assistant legal adviser for APC in Benue.
They said the nominations were predicted on the need to present home based politicians for case of grassroots mobilisation.
The stakeholders condemned the illegal meeting called by some party members where names of leaders and stakeholders were written in proxy to justify the illicit meeting held on the 18th of September, 2021.
The stakeholders and leaders appreciated the leader of the party in Benue State and minister of special duties and intergovernmental affairs Senator George Akume, special duties for his sterling leadership qualities and his magnanimity for zoning the office of the zonal chairman, Zone C, to the Igede , for the very first time in the political history of the APC. They noted that this is the first time such party leadership cadre is coming to Oju/ Obi LGA councils in Benue South senatorial district, adding that these positions arealmost permanently held by Idoma.
