Xolane Ndhlovu, the Chairman of DafriBank has become one of the trending personalities on social media since he commenced the unprecedented act of doling out dollar rewards every week to at least 20 followers of his followers on social media.
His Instagram page on recently displayed a screenshot of a spreadsheet of those who received monetary gifts from him in the past few days, accompanied by the post: “From now till 31 December 2021 I will be giving $1000 every week to random people with “My Top Fan Badge” ($16 000 USD Total give away).”
The largesse will last a total of 16 weeks during which 20 winners will be picked randomly every week culminating in 320 winners by December 31.
The former DJ-turned-entrepreneur affirmed that the bounty is open to all countries. “You must be following me and my sponsor DafriBank Digital on all social media and participating in daily activities there,” he stated.
So far, the weekly wins have recorded winners from countries all over Africa and from faraway shores such as the Philippines.
Not a few people are surprised by this extraordinary display of philanthropy since Xolane Ndhlovu has already attained fame as an incurable philanthropist.
Back in 2020, when Covid-19 was wreaking havoc across the globe, he had donated R500 000 to the Solidarity Response Fund created to fight the coronavirus outbreak in South Africa and through his DafriGroup, also extended a helping hand to Nigeria where it teamed up with the UMEH foundation and provide relief materials for families in need.
“There are a lot of people who need help in our world and there are those out there doing their very best to give it to them. Every time I see someone working hard to create change or make life better for people I get inspired,” Xolane Ndhlovu stated in response to the question about his motivation for helping people.
