The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has called on residents of Bwari town in Bwari area council to maintain peace and live together in the interest of the area and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in general.
In an interview with LEADERSHIP at the weekend, the secretary, Area Councils Services Secretariat (ACSS), Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Bappah, disclosed that everything is being done by the administration, to ameliorate the suffering of traders, who properties were destroyed during the recent crisis in the area.
Bappah advised residents of the area to live in peace with one another and await as government is working towards resolving the crisis once and for all in the interest of the community.
According to him, “So far, we have called the two paramount chiefs in Bwari community for a meeting here and later we called them along with their traditional rulers that are under their purview. The most important thing is to ensure that peace returns to Bwari among the parties.”
He also advised area councils to continue to provide basic social amenities, such as water, good roads, hospitals and electricity to the citizens, noting that the major challenges facing the area councils is finances, adding, “The money is small and needs of the people are many.”
