Like many other successful entrepreneurs in the land, starting off a few years ago was tough for Ubani Henry Chinonso, Chief Executive Officer of Ubahec Enterprises Nig Ltd and Ubahec Global Services and Homes Limited.
Speaking to a select team of reporters in his expansive office in Lagos, the upwardly mobile and goal driven real estate guru, whose business is thriving and raking in mega bucks, admitted that starting a business was not easy.
“The most challenging moment in this journey I had was capital and doing the right investment that would appreciate as fast as possible within a short period of time,” he said.
The founder of Ubahec Enterprises Nig Ltd spoke of competition in real estate business as that is needed to stay motivated and continue remarkable investment that will stand the test of time.
In a chat with journalists from his Lagos base, the real estate guru noted that he would probably be travelling round the world, were it not for business.
“If I’m not doing this business, I will literally be traveling the whole world because that’s what I was doing before. Real estate gave me a platform and exposure to learn and see more of the things I never knew,” he added.
On the challenges he faced in recent times, he remarked: “I had a project on going in some of my sites before the pandemic. It really affected the project completion but we later completed it immediately after COVID 19 but materials where more higher in cost in the market.
“Again, the COVID-19 protocols especially social distancing made impossible for us to have enough workers. This really affected us and I pray we don’t have such experience now and in the years to come.”
He also spoke of the uniqueness of his companies this way: “What makes my company unique are many. First, we have been in and out of the most developed countries in the world that has highest depth in science and technology such as China , Dubai, Vietnam, Turkey, etc.
“We have acquired versatile experience and exposure that money can’t buy..We will bring that experience back home,” added Ubani Chinonso.
