The Chartered institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has shifted its April 2019 Diet of the Banking Professional and Certification Examinations earlier scheduled for April 9 to 11, 2019 to Wednesday, April 24 to Friday, April 26, 2019.
A statement from the institute and made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday, noted that the timing of the examination has also been slightly adjusted. While the morning sessions will hold from 9:00am – 12:00 noon, the afternoon sessions have been adjusted to 3:00pm- 6:00pm.
As a result of these adjustments, the institute said the registration for the examination initially planned to close on Monday March 18, 2019Â has been extended till Monday April 1, 2019.
The postponement, according to CIBN, was occasioned by the shift in the dates of the General Elections which in turn necessitated the rescheduling of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by Joint Admission & Matriculation Board (JAMB). Unfortunately, it said the new dates fixed by JAMB clashed with the period earlier scheduled for the CIBN examination, therefore making the CBT centres unavailable for use.
