Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi has called on Nigerians to obey the directives of government at states and Federal levels on measures to curtail the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) in the country.

Addressing newsmen in his palace at Ile-Ife on Monday, Ooni Ogunwusi charged Nigerians to stay at home, maintain social distancing, ensure regular hand washing, abstain from handshake, observe proper hygiene and observe isolation where necessary to curb the spread of the virus.

While giving kudos to the Federal and state governments for measures taken so far to curtail the pandemic, Oba Ogunwusi charged political leaders to explore the positive side of the pandemic to invest in the health sector for the benefit of Nigerians.

He applauded the private and public sectors that have assisted government financially and otherwise adding that their legacy will ever remained indelible.

Oba Ogunwusi who disclosed that there was a divine proclamation to the world last year June 6th 2019, during the World Ifa Festival Otura Meji where the impending rage of this invisible pandemic war was foretold adding that “but few heard us”.

He noted that the cure for Corona victim resides in natural elements put together from nature adding that it has been tested and confirmed with a challenge to researchers both in Nigeria and the world to make these natural herbs into clinical medicine and extract the vaccines from them.

Ooni Ogunwusi who noted that there is no perfect system in the world urged government to learn from other countries of the world in the way and manner the pandemic is being handled.
