Scotty LVX has donated much needed grocery and food supplies with articles of clothing to some hard hit families around LA in a personal project which he tagged ‘My Brother’s Keeper’ He said the aim of this donation is to help alleviate the hard times caused by covid on some families and homeless people.
He said he realized a lot of families are struggling due to the pandemic restrictions and lockdown. Also some people have lost their jobs and have had to rely on food banks and free will donations to make ends meet. He said a lot of people were forced to shelter in place and so needed help to feed and cater for their families too.
He said he asked his friends in the entertainment and music industry for help and initiated a grocery/food and used clothes distribution drive among his friends and family to raise items to give away. The aim of the initiative he said, was to raise enough grocery supplies and clothes as gift donations to provide for at least 100 families. Scotty said his expectations was surpassed with the help of his community of friends and they raised enough to help provide meals for over 150 families.
Born Terrel Parham on February 20, 1992 in Leesburg, Florida, Scotty LVX is an R&B lyricist, singer, songwriter and producer. Even though when he initially moved to LA he started out in the church, he later accepted his future was not just as a producer but also as a performing musician and so decided to pursue that career path. Some of his production credits include Tinie Tempah’s single “Shadows” off of his 2017 album titled “YOUTH” and ‘The Plan’ for RnB artist, Danileigh.
He said that he was motivated to give knowing that “givers never lack and the more you give the more you receive”.
