A group of Civil Society Organisations has lauded the achievement of the Nigerian Police Force under the sterling leadership of Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Adamu.
It particularly lauded efforts in curbing security challenges in the country, especially in keeping Abuja-Kaduna roads and some other safer.
The CSOs who passed a vote of confidence on the IGP, recognized the Chief Cop as an epitome of global policing and one with a vast experience in combating crime in a diverse country such as Nigeria with more than 250 tribes.
In a statement signed by the president United Northern Youth and Students (UNYS) for other CSOs, Comrade Jabir Aminu Maiturare said the Force has proven to Nigerians that “Police is our friend,” which amidst COVID-19 pandemic has discharged their duties in protecting lives and properties of the citizens.
“We are hereby passing a vote of confidence on the Nigerian Police Force under the able leadership of IGP Adamu for his dedicated service to Nigerians and his depth professional knowledge.
“We want to call on relevant authorities to keep on supporting the Nigerian Police most especially the DSS and other security agencies in the effort to address issues of security in the country. We remain hopeful that God will take Nigeria out of this pandemic and restore peace in our dear country,” the statement said.
