The Dan Malikin Matazu, Alhaji Usman Dan Malam has described the Honourary Doctorate Degree conferred on prominent Nigerian business mogul, philanthropist and the chief executive officer, Rahamaniyya Group of Companies, Dr. Abdullarahaman Rahamaniyya, as well deserved and laudable.
The Al-Nahda International University, Niamey, in Niger Republic recently conferred Honourary Doctorate Degrees on three Nigerians; Dr. Abdullarahaman Rahamaniyya, Dr Bashir Shehu Rahamaniyya, and chief executive officer, Zamson, Dr. Zayyanu Bashir respectively, in Niamey.
Malam described the award as laudable and one of the best things that has happened to the Nigerian business community.
According to him, “The award confirmed and acknowledged the selfless contribution of Dr Rahamaniyya to the social-economic development of not only Nigeria but the African continent as a whole.”
He equally observed that the philanthropic gesture of Dr Rahamaniyya on the educational development of various less privileged Nigerians through his scholarship scheme is worthy of emulation.
Dr. Abdullarahaman Musa Bashir Rahamaniyya, is reported to be in the process of launching the largest agricultural venture in Nigeria with plans to employ and engage about 3,500 youths.
‘’No doubt that Dr. Rahamaniyya has contributed tremendously to the education of the less privileged in our society through his scholarship to numerous Nigerians to pursue their dreams of schooling from secondary schools to universities and other tertiary institutions across the continent.
‘’I believe this humanitarian gesture by this humble businessman deserves commendation, as he has touched many lives and still touching more every day,’’ he said.
