Songwriters often find the subject matter of love fascinating and charming. Rising artiste, Onyembi Mbuli Mitchel better known as Purple Plutonian is not exempted from such artistes who find the matter of love music worthy.
The ‘Sege’ crooner who is signed to Sounds From Pluto, a record label owned by Gift Bernard Essien and Daniel Obidiah, says loves comes first for him before sex and money.
According to him: “Right now love comes first, the love of my family, friends, my music and the people I work with, then money in a close second”.
Going down memory lane, the University of Lagos undergraduate said music has always been something he has always wanted to do.
”Music has always been something I have always wanted to do. I always enjoyed doing it, but always felt like it would only be a past time, glad I’m able to do it professionally now’.
On what inspired his highly acclaimed EP, ‘Echoes of Pluto’, Purple Plutonian said:” A lot of things inspired it, the life I have lived, the one I want to live inspired it. It is just a celebration of music and all the talented people I’m surrounded by”.
Asked about the artistes he would love to collaborate with, he said: ”I will love to collaborate with a lot of them. But off the top of my head, I would love to work with Sarz, Adekunle Gold, Wizkid, Runtown, Omah Lay, to mention but a few. I really like what they are doing musically right now and I feel like I can make something amazing with them”.
Sharing the inspiration behind his acclaimed song ‘Sege’, Purple Plutonian said: ”Relationships changing once one a personality is in the spotlight. We have seen it multiple times and it was something I always felt could happen to me .A lot of people had experienced it and I felt like expressing it on behalf of those of us experiencing it.”
