Youths in Taraba State have lauded the former national president of National Youths Council (NYC) Comrade Mutala Gumji for his development strides in the three local government areas in the southern part of the state.
The state president of Tiv Peace Initiative, Comrade Righteous Ancho, his counterpart from Southern Taraba Concern Youths, Thomas Illiasu and the state coordinator of Southern Zone Women Association, Miss Mattha Ando spoke glowingly on the developmental strides of Gumji.
In an interview with LEADERSHIP in Takum, the headquarters of Takum local government area, the youths said Gumji had constructed a 35-kilometre road from Lisam to Kweseti in Ussa local government area, which has opened up the communities and boosted agricultural activities among the people.
The youths said Gumji has offered scholarships to 25 students of Ussa, Takum and Donga local government areas of the southern zone.
The youths further noted that Gumji have treated 26 patients suffering from different ailments in hospitals within the local government areas.
