For ease of movement, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced that all flight operations at the D Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos, will be diverted today, to E Wing of the airport, following a need for maintenance to be carried out.
FAAN also announced that effective from Monday, November 26, vehicular movement towards the arrival floor will be redirected, starting from 0800hours, as part of efforts to ensure seamless facilitation, following ongoing construction at the airport.
The aviation agency made this known yesterday in a statement signed by the general manager, Corporate Communication, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, to assure the public that maintenance would be carried out and there was no need to fret.
She said that everything was in the best interest of the flying public and assured that FAAN is committed to its core values of safety, security and comfort.
On the redirection of arrival vehicles, FAAN stated that its plan will see a temporary Arrival Pick Up Zone in the old car park opened.
The airport authority noted that, arriving passengers will, as usual, exit the halls through Arrival Gate D but will no longer be able to turn go left because the left axis will be closed due to construction.
