Fg Approves N3bn Intervention For Sule Lamido University

The Federal Government through the Ministry of Education has approved N3 billion for the execution of capital projects in Sule Lamido University,  Kafin Hausa Jigawa state.

The state governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, revealed this while speaking to journalist at the Government House in Dutse.

He said the intervention is part of president Muhammad Buhari’s efforts to develop the education sector through tertiary education trust fund.

Governor Badaru Abubakar who commended president Buhari for the gesture reiterated state government commitment to invest more in the educational sector.

He however revealed that, the state government has made education as one of its key priority and in view of that it came up with 12 years strategic framework for reforming state education sector known as “Change Agenda”.

Similarly the state Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has approved the appointment of Professor Lawan Sani Taura as the new Vice Chancellor of the university, 

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Jigawa State Government, Alhaji  Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini.

He said the appointment followed a recommendation to the Visitor of the University by the Governing Council of the Sule Lamido University Kafin  Hausa. 

Until his appointment Professor Lawan Sani Taura was the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University.

He also approved the appointment of Adamu Muhammad as the new Registrar of the University.
