Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has reconciled the suspended member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulmuminu Jibrin Kofa and the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa.
Governor Ganduje was at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, MAKIA, on Monday, to proceed to Saudi Arabia for a lesser hajj, when he met with the two ‘warring’ legislators at the VIP Lounge.
Ganduje alighted from his car alongside the two legislators, his deputy, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar and state chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas.
Shortly after the governor took off, Hon. Jibrin confided to our reporter that Governor Ganduje has reconciled them and asked them to sheathe their swords and work for their constituencies, state and the nation at large.
He confirmed that the intervention was a holistic one from the governor.
The misunderstanding between the suspended legislature and the Chief Whip was said to have started at home in Kano, as the former often time referred to the later as hypocrite in public functions and on radio.
