Former Flying Eagles striker, Abubakar Ghali has vowed to score more goals for his Slovakian league side, AS Trencin after scoring his first goal of the season in their 3-2 victory over FC Nitra on Saturday.
The Nigerian international, who had two assists in their previous league’s match, scored the second goal of the game in the 23rd minute as Trencin grinded the first league win in six matches.
Speaking to Football Republik, the 20-year-old expressed his happiness and promised to do more to score and assist his teammates.
“I’m very happy for the first goal I scored in the league. The most important was that the team won.”My target is to score more goals and give more assists. Though, in football, you can’t decide what will happen, I hope to score more goals and create more assists.”
The victory over FC Nitra gave AS Trencin their first three points of the season, after two draws and three defeats.
