Glovo, a leading on-demand technology platform connecting users to restaurants, supermarkets, and stores, has inaugurated its LiveOps Hub in Abuja, marking a major milestone in strengthening customer experience, operational efficiency, and talent development in Nigeria.
Speaking at the launch, general manager of Glovo Nigeria, Lamide Akinola, said the LiveOps Hub reflects the company’s continued investment in innovation, reliability, and human capital development.
“The LiveOps Hub in Abuja reflects our investment in resilience and reliability. We have invested heavily in redundant high-speed satellite links and robust backup power systems, including generators and solar energy sources, to ensure continuous operations. This means we are always available when customers, riders, or vendors need us most,” Akinola stated.
According to her, the facility integrates advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) with human expertise to deliver seamless, secure, and responsive service. The hub’s tiered support system is organised into specialised “pods”—such as Refunds, Rider Support, and Vendor Relations—enabling agents to resolve complex cases more efficiently.
“Our approach combines people, technology, and local understanding. We are not just solving customer challenges—we are building trust in Nigeria’s digital economy by showing that reliability, innovation, and opportunity can coexist,” Akinola added.
