Yobe State governor and chairman of APC Caretaker/Extraordinary National convention committee, Hon Mai Mala Buni has commiserated with the government and people of Kaduna State over the death of the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris.
Governor Buni described the death as a loss of a nationalist who dedicated his life to the service of Nigerians.
In a condolence message released by his director-general of Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, the governor said, “The late Emir was a bridge builder who threw the doors of his domain open, accommodating all Nigerians irrespective of cultural, ethnic and religious differences.
“Late Shehu Idris built a mini Nigeria in Zaria where everyone lived and freely pursued their legitimate means of livelihood.”
Buni noted that the late royal father will be remembered for providing conducive environment to host numerous educational institutions and, making Zaria a citadel of learning in Nigeria.
Governor Buni prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and to grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
He also prayed Allah to give his family, Zaria emirate, government and people of Kaduna state and, Nigerians the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
