The CentreStage International (CSI) in partnership with Ascend Studios Foundation for the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)- A White House Initiative that supports Women Entrepreneurs around the World has advised Nigerians to be proactive in their endeavors and not wait on the government to do everything.
Speaking with newsmen as part maiden edition of the CentresStage Live conference 2021 With the theme- Changing the African Narrative through the Power of Storytelling, supported by TENT Group Limited, Convener, the CentreStage Conference and International, Mrs Naomi
Osemedua said the story. We cannot depend on the government to do everything.
According to her, we have to start up with something. You might not be able to change the policy of the government, however, what can you do? You can do something and that is the mindset every Nigerian needs to have.
“We cannot take away the hardships but we pray it gets better, but in the meantime, what can you do, and I said start from inside by helping your neighbour, child on street or taking extra food to feed security. man, that is hungry. There is everything we can do.
“My mission has always been on how can every one of us can be the change we are looking for and I want to keep the conversation in that area otherwise, we just keep going around the cycle.
“With one person realising that the changes we are looking for start with every one of us, that is how Nigeria would be better. The truth is there are a lot of opportunities around us, sometimes we take them and some we don’t take them.
“One way to impact Nigeria positively is to take what I have learned to share it with other people, not the depth of my knowledge but also invites people so that they can learn something good and that is what we were able to do this afternoon.”
She also revealed that a lot of women from the Northern community joined the conference via Instagram and YouTube, and they have heard and seen what we share their one of them is here with us told her story through art, and she would change the world through her art.
Speaking on emotional balance in our society today, she said its a harsh reality and that everyone is going through it, however, we have to get to the space of looking at each other as people.
“My mission has always been on how can every one of us can be the change we are looking for and I want to keep the conversation in that area otherwise, we just keep going around the cycle.”
