A civil society group, Coalition of Concern Nigerian Students (CCNS) has urged Nigerians to support the Pinnacle Communication led by Sir Lucky Omoluwa in its efforts to make the federal government programme of digital switchover, a huge success.
A statement signed by its president, Comrade Michael Omoba said, the call is against the backdrop of the indispensable role communication sector plays in Nigeria’s move towards advancement.
The statement further said, the youths are the greatest consumers of the communication services, hence, it is expedient to drum support for the current effort at digitalizing communication sector in Nigeria.
The group frowned at the efforts been orchestrated by detractors to clog the wheel of the revolution Pinnacle Communication has brought to bear in upgrading the communication sector.
“We condemn in its entirety, the protests being organised against Pinnacle Communications by some pressure groups and civil society organisations. These protests are uncalled for, since the objectives are being met.”
CCNS is an association of student leaders drawn from the various bodies, including National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
