Igbo community from Oru east local government area of Imo state in Abuja over the recently marked the end of year festival in style.
The chairman of the Amiri Development Union, Chief Nnaemeka Oriri said, the annual event is organised to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Amiri kingdom.
Oriri stated that the event was aimed at uniting all sons and daughters of the Amiri kingdom from all works of life.
He added that the end of year celebration enables the Amiri people to thank God and honour members who have contributed to the development of Amiri and Imo at large.
“There’s no better time than the end of the year party when we have all our sons and daughters come together to thank God for his provision and protection.
“We thought it wise to honour past executives for their contribution and award excellence to some members who are worthy ambassadors of Amiri, whose efforts contributed to the height of the union,’’ he affirmed.
