Live TV Host and Comedian, Jimmy Kimmel chokes back tears as he talks about the unimaginable tragedy in Las Vegas – his home town. He called for gun control following what is being called the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.
He gave a details on how a gunman opened fire on thousands of concert-goers from a hotel room
According New York, he initially challenged Republican-backed health care efforts and was subsequently thrust into the spotlight as an activist on the subject. He further expressed disappointment in Republican politicians for failing to support or pass substantial gun control legislation as mass shootings continue to take hold of the country.
In his own words, “It seems to be becoming increasingly difficult lately. It feels like someone has opened a window into hell. What I’m talking about tonight isn’t about gun control; it’s about common sense. “Common sense says no good will ever come from allowing a person to have weapons that can take down 527 Americans at a concert. Common sense says you don’t let those who suffer from mental illness buy guns.”
