Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Kwara State have pledged their support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
They also called for unity and synergy among party faithful.
The call was made during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Abuja, which brought together elected officials, federal government appointees, party leaders and other key figures from across the state’s three senatorial districts.
Speaking with LEADERSHIP Sunday, the executive secretary/chief executive officer of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Otunba Abiodun Ajiboye, explained that the gathering was aimed at discussing the issues that affect the state and fostering cohesion among the party’s stakeholders.
“We are the political stakeholders in Kwara, these are elected officers and federal government appointees.
We thought it was necessary to have this forum where we can get together and discuss our issues.
“The governor was able to give us a scorecard of what has been going on in the state, we came together to know ourselves very well and appreciate that we must be bonding regularly, and that has been achieved,” Ajiboye said.
Also, the senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial district, Saliu Mustapha, said, “What happened here is a meeting of APC stakeholders from Kwara,to appreciate each other and look forward to better days for the APC in Kwara.
“We also came together to appreciate the president for giving Kwara a fair share of federal appointments and enhancing the Renewed Hope Agenda from the national level down to the state level.”
The stakeholders also passed a vote of confidence on the state governor, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his alignment with the federal government’s vision and his developmental strides within Kwara.
