A Member of Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Eti-Osa Constituency 1 Hon. Noheem Batatunde Adams has empowered 200 people in his Constituency.
The beneficiaries were given items ranging from Sewing Machines, Grinding Machines to Generators and Hair Driers in the presence of many who graced the Economic Empowerment programme held in Ikate, Lagos.
The Law maker also commissioned Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre at Ojomu Junior Secondary School, Ajah as well as Bore Hole facilities at Ilaje, Gbara and Iru market.
Speaking after commissioning the facilities and empowerment Programme of 200 people, Hon Noheem Adams said that the construction of the bore holes is aimed at addressing the unavailability of potable water in the communities and to allow for balanced distribution of infrastructure across the three Local government areas in the Constituency.
According to him for a long time the people in the communities have to trek for long distance to fetch water.
The Law maker also said that the establishment of ICT centre is aimed at building capacity of our youths to meet the needs of, 21st century.
In a bid to address peculiar challenge as a community bordering the ocean surge in the community, he said a government delegation was mobilized to inspect the level of sea encroachment and other ecological challenges at Okun-Ajah Okun Mapo and Alfa Beach with a view to finding lasting solution to the problem.
