LEADERSHIP Newspaper’s Health Correspondent, Royal Ibeh, has emerged one of the winners of Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards 2021.
She emerged winner in the category of “Best Story – Youth Empowerment and Development”.
The Corporate Communications & Public Affairs Manager, Nestlé Nigeria Plc, Mrs Victoria Uwadoka, at the Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards 2021, commended all the winners for their innovative and excellent work.
Uwadoka said Nestlé Nigeria Plc gave out the award to promote and celebrate excellence within the media profession and to encourage journalists to thrive for excellence in their write-up.
“We awarded journalists who through the years have exercise a level of diligent in story-telling. We gave out the awards to the winners because their stories were factual, data-based and relevant to the environment. I congratulate the winners because they did something extra, their stories were fact-based and prompt a call to action,” she added.
Other winners were Chris Onuoha from Vanguard newspaper, in the category of Best Story – Women Empowerment; Aina Johnson from Daily Sun Newspaper in the category of Best Photojournalist Award and Ijeoma Ukazu from the Daily Newswave, in the category of Best story of community development, among others.
