David Delong, 40, is accused of killing 20-year-old Amber Czech, his colleague at Advanced Process Technologies in Cokato.

Authorities said officers were called to the processing facility on Tuesday morning after Czech was found at her workstation with severe head injuries. First responders attempted life-saving measures but pronounced her dead at the scene.

According to people, surveillance footage showed Delong walking past Czech before allegedly returning to attack her with a sledgehammer. Authorities described the attack as “very aggressive, violent, and forceful.”

Delong reportedly confessed to authorities that he intended to kill Czech and admitted that he had been planning the attack for some time due to personal dislike. He also mentioned that Czech had once given him a “bad look,” which upset him.

Czech died from blunt force trauma to the head, according to reports.
