Milly Foundation is one of the non-profit private organisations addressing the harsh economic effects of the strict COVID-19 lockdowns and also helping internally displaced persons with relief materials and food items via donations.
The Foundation is focused on providing advice, support and assistance to widows, single mothers, orphans and the less-privileged in Nigeria with emphasis in the Lagos, Ogun and Ondo State regions.
Founded by Ajibade ‘Milly’ Martins aka “Milly Hussle”, a Nigerian-born Dubai based Showbiz/Event Manager, entrepreneur and philanthropist, he informed our reporter in a telephone chat of his plans to send relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps around Abuja, Nigeria.
There are currently 4 IDPs camps in Nigeria and most of the occupants of these camps are people and families from towns and villages ravaged by the Shite sect bokoharam. He said focus will be on orphans, women and children between the ages of 6/13yrs old in the camps.
Milly said arrangements have been concluded for the Foundation to visit some IDPs camps on August 30, 2021 being his birth date in commemoration of his birthday anniversary.
He said that exercise books, articles of clothing, bags of rice, gallons of palm oil, cartons of noodles, toilet rolls, tubers of yam, tins of milk, bags of rice and sachets of seasoning cube will be distributed at these camps.
The camps scheduled for these visits are the Area 1 and Lugbe IDPs Camps in Abuja.
