With six goals in two matches after scoring a second hat-trick for Napoli in their 4-0 win over Serie C club, Teramo in a pre-season friendly match during the weekend, fans of the Italian Serie A side, Na-poli have nicknamed the Nigerian goalscoring sensation, Victor Osimhen, as ‘Mr. Hat-Trick’.
The former Lille of France forward, who joined Napoli recently for a record €70million fee has hit the ground running by bagging two hat-tricks in his first two test games, including an explosive start which has endeared him into the hearts of the club fans.
Top Italian newspaper, Il Roma, reports that Osimhen’s form has wooed Napoli fans, who dubbed the Nigerian, ‘Mister Hat-Trick.’
Osimhen netted his first hat-trick in Napoli shirt against L’Aquila last week and followed it up with an-other hat-trick in the second test game against Teramo last Friday.
“Six goals have already been scored by Victor Osimhen, who immediately entered the hearts of the Azzurri supporters,” which was reported on Il Roma front page under the title, “Osimhen, mister hat-trick. Fans are already crazy about Victor”.
The Super Eagles’ forward, who scored 18 goals in 38 games for Lille will be looking to replicate his goalscoring form for the Gennaro Gattuso’s team when the Serie A resumes next week.
