Gov. Abubakar Bello of Niger on Thursday said that his administration had earmarked N1.9 billion in the 2018 budget for the rehabilitation of township roads in Minna and 17 others in local council headquarters.
Bello spoke while presenting the 2018 budget proposal to the state House of Assembly for approval.
The budget christened, `People’s Budget,’ would accommodate the rehabilitation of the 17 other roads in local government headquarters.
“The state government will embark on the projects because of its significance. Effective and smooth transportation will boast socioeconomic and political growth of the state.
“Another N2 billion has been earmarked for repairs and rehabilitation of both state and federal roads across the state.
“The completion of all on-going road projects in the state will be pursued with vigour,” he said. (NAN)
