Federal government yesterday, commenced deliberation on National Policies and Strategy to reflect on Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) post -2020 vision.
The focus of the strategic planning session that was held in Kano, drew the particpation of experts and professionals, who were expected to articulate developmental ideas that would promote Nigeria’s interest among member states. ECOWAS post 2020 vision was part of the roadmap being formulated prior to its vision 2030. The head of state and government during its ordinary session in June 2007, had adopted the transformational ECOWAS vision 2020.
Speaking at a consultative workshop on ECOWAS post – 2020 vision, head of ECOWAS national unit, ministry of Foreign Affairs, Joseph Oyi, disclosed that Nigeria remains a strong member state with formidable agenda.
