A governorship aspirant, under the umbrella of Youth Progressive Party, (YPP), in Osun State, Dr. Musbahudeen Kunle Oparinde has charged the nation’s youths to live above board and be prepared to correct past mistakes made by the leader.
Speaking at the party’s congress with the theme, “The Fist” held in Osogbo , Oparinde charged Osun youths to pull courage, confidence and competency together to right the long menace and the dungeon the past administrations had subjected the nation to.
Oparinde posited that Nigeria is 40 years behind pragmatic innovation as a result of the way its democracy is being handled by successive governments.
He urged them to make intentional decisions to make a difference by supporting a candidate that can affect the desired change that would further the cause of development in the state.
Oparinde regretted that the nation’s leaders have failed to practice vibrant democracy to replace old and archaic ways they persistently subject democracy to in Nigeria.
He added that his political ideology and his ambition to take up responsibilities as a gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming governorship election in the state, is to allow for the youth participation in governance.
Speaking at the congress, the state party chairman, Comrade Remi Ayanlade, said that politics has gone beyond the primitive ways, saying that it is high time the youths made a rigid decision.
