According to the Zone 12 Command, Abdullahi discovered the money in a tricycle and immediately took steps to trace and return it to the owner, identified as Alhaji Mustafa, a businessman from the neighbouring Katsina State, who was in Kano for a businessman transaction.

While presenting the award, ACG Taiwo praised Abdullahi’s display of honesty, noting that such actions reinforce public confidence in the Corps and reflect the values the NSCDC stands for. He added that the command considered it necessary to publicly acknowledge the gesture to encourage others to emulate the act of transparency.

ā€œThe commendation is not just for returning the money, but for demonstrating that integrity still exists among citizens, especially within our organisation,ā€ Taiwo said.
