The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved full accreditation of 20 academic programmes for the Federal University Dutsin-Ma, (FUDMA), in Katsina State.
A statement signed by the chief public relations officer (CPRO) of the university, Habibu Garba Matazu, which was made available to LEADERSHIP, said results of the accreditation were contained in a technical report forwarded to the university.
Matazu listed the accredited courses to include, Business Management, Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Forestry , Food Science, English and History.
Also listed as having met the accreditation requirment and hence given approval are, Education Biology, Education Chemistry, Education Mathematics and Education English.
Other programmes with full accreditation are, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Computer Science, Microbiology, Physics, Physics with Electronic and Sociology.
Matazu said according to the NUC accreditation result, only three academic Programmes, “ Mathematics, Accounting and Physics Education are on interim accreditation”.
