“Constitutionally, every state in the country is saddled with the responsibility of taken care and maintenance of the NYSC Orientation Camp in its domain,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Brig. Gen. Kazaure has advised Corps members to avoid political partisanship in the next year’s general election in the country.
The DG assured that the NYSC in collaboration with the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other stakeholders to ensure safety of the NYSC members during the elections.
The state NYSC coordinator, Mrs Theresa Ibunkun Arokoyo said that the orientation camp is disadvantaged because of its temporary nature explaining that the camp lacks lecture hall, male hostels, inadequate and dilapidated staff quarters as well as inability to control movement in and out of the camp.
She disclosed that there was hope as the state governor had directed the commencement of the construction of the permanent site to solve the problems.
