The Benue State government has charged Humanitarian Environmental Project Company (HEPC Global) Netherlands and HEPC Global Nigeria Limited to be diligent in the execution of the HEPC Ecosystem projects in the state and to make true its promised of mobilising to site within the next 2 to 3 months.
Governor Samuel Ortom who gave the charge at the signing of the agreement for the project between the state government and the company at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi, called on HEPC to partner with the state government to take agricultural production to a new height in the state and in the country.
Represented by his deputy, Engr Benson Abounu, Governor Ortom reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to agricultural driven industrialization as the hub of the state economy and pledged continuous government support for every initiative that promotes agricultural mechanisation.
Governor Ortom further stated that with their state of the art technology, agricultural, livestock, renewable energy and water projects are sure to receive a big boost in the state.
Governor Ortom who presented the Certificate of Occupancy of the land acquired for the project to the company, expressed worry that inspite of the prevailing friendly business environment; some companies still fail to make true their commitment to the state even after signing memorandum of understanding with the government.
