The embattled chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State, Hon. Isaac Kwallu, who was suspended from office for three months by the Plateau State House of Assembly has finally been impeached.
Our correspondent gathered that Justice N.L. Musa of the High Court had granted an interim injunction for his reinstatement as the chairman of pending the determination of a substantive suit on Tuesday.
However, Hon. Kwallu was impeached yesterday after a legislative sitting held in the local government chambers by the councilors of Qua’an Pan.
All 16 members of the legislative arm that sat unanimously agreed on his impeachment.
LEADERSHIP recalls that the councilors have written a petition to the leader of the house about “executive lawlessness, abuse of office, non
adherence to due process, misappropriation and diversion of public funds contrary to the law establishing local government councils in
Plateau State” against Hon. Isaac Kyalle Kwallu.
