The FCT Coordinator, Presidential Support Committee for Buhari (PSCB), Alhaji Muhammad Musa Shettima, has boasted that President Muhammadu Buhari, would garner a block vote during the 2019 presidential election in the territory.

Speaking during the All Progressives Congress (APC) direct presidential primaries in Abaji at the weekend, Shettima disclosed that FCT residents have already vowed to come out enmass to vote massively for President Buhari.

He stated that residents have identify the performance of the  APC-led administration under President Buhari, especially in infrastructural development, roads, railway, economic stability and the fight against corruption.

The coordinator noted that FCT has always been the strong hold of President Buhari since 2003, adding that he (Buhari) has never lost election in FCT despite alleged rigging by the then ruling party.

“I want to state categorically without mincing words that President Muhammadu Buhari shall get a block votes in next year’s election in the FCT. This is because since 2003, he has been winning all presidential election in FCT. And if you doubt, the records are there at INEC office. You can go and cross check. “

He pointed out that the direct presidential primaries adopted by the national working committee of the APC was a clear indication that democracy has come to stay in Nigeria, adding that every individual would be allowed to chose candidate directly without imposition.

Shettima therefore commended the national executive committee of the party under the leadership of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, party stakeholders and members in the FCT for coming out enmass to declare their support for re-election of Buhari in 2019.
